I have been Muslim for 18 years now and I can say that only 4 of them have been teaching on Facebook. These 4 years have given me so many connections to people that I may have never spoken to. All the years I taught in the Masjids, Schools and Universities hardly did that to be honest. Of course some connections were made, however the point is that Facebook can be used as a good tool, just as any tool can be used for good. That same tool can be used to smash people over the head as well to hurt them, so let us use Facebook and other social media outlets to help and not harm. Also, we have to re-connect to the Masjid and teach as well, Facebook is not a replacement, it is a tool. #SpeakingToMyselfFirst
