I have been a Discount Tires fan for over 25 years. They have always done right by me. I am going to give you the long story on my latest experience with them. A couple of years ago, I bought a Lexus ES 350. My criteria was simple. I wanted a quiet car. I wanted to have a good stereo system. The tires that came with the car were Bridgestone Turanza EL 400s. They dont carry a mileage guarantee and they actually lasted only 30,000 miles or so. I did some research for replacements and talked to the Discount Tire folks. We opted for some Michelin top of the line. I took a road trip down to Brownsville and got to try the tires on many different road surfaces. I immediately was aware of road noise as I could determine how much extra volume I had to boost my Sirius XM radio. Some places, the road noise was so bad, it was exhausting and I actually turned off the radio. I talked to Discount. They said, no problem, lets try these Pirellis. They even returned the difference between the cost of the two. The Pirellis were good but produced a high pitched whine on several surfaces. A couple of weeks later, I talked to Discount, made a decision to go back to Bridgestones, and they ordered them and replaced them, no questions asked. What a class act! I wish every business was this committed to customer satisfaction. Again, Ive been a fan of DT for over 25 years and maybe 8 cars worth of tires.
