I have been a long time fan of Damrong Pidech - a hard line reclaimer of land encroachments in national parks. Yet, after his inclusion into the NRC he has also moved his focus from the rich Puh Yais building resorts in Khao Yai to secondary take overs in Krabi , a cable car in Phu Kradung (Loei) and now small Sor Por Kor farmers that dwell right next to luxury resorts and hotels in Phuket. It so seems that the juntas propagandist strike against the corrupt land mafia is going sideways. His latests message was also quite ominous as his call to reclaim 10 million rai of Sor Por Kor 4-01 all over the country is going to be executed in an unfair way and in itself will foster and fuel corruption since everyone will be at the mercy of local officials. To me this is sad to see and I hope that this conversion from good man for most of ones life to retired fallen hero turning 180° isnt a role model everyone wants to adapt - we really see it all to often.
