I have been a proud supporter of my Marine husband. I have - TopicsExpress

I have been a proud supporter of my Marine husband. I have followed him across this country and waited over a YEAR for his safe return from deployment. The sacrifices he has made and our family has made are beyond imaginable to most people. He has given everything to commit to his duties as a Marine and is damn proud of it. He has No negative marks and when it comes to being a Marine, Ive heard he is one of the best. Well, after nearly 16 years of commitment to serving this country and the Corps.... He may not get to reenlist due to budget cuts. He is a couple years away from receiving a retirement check for the rest of his life. The Marine Corps was his career choice. He is at the point where he can put it for terminal leave (military people understand that), but we are holding out hope that he wont be so easily dismissed so he is not submitting for terminal. However, if he doesnt get reenlisted, and hasnt submitted for that leave, he will lose that terminal leave. Its times like these I want to strangle our government! Its sad enough how our Military is looked over so easily and rarely recognized.... but a man commits his life to this country and now has to carry the stress of the not knowing what his future holds and at no fault of his own. The Bruno Mars song Grenade keeps running through my head. Its feeling like a one way kind of love. We could use a MILLION prayers right now! His chances of being selected are only about 10%.
