I have been an observer of nature all my life I should I think - TopicsExpress

I have been an observer of nature all my life I should I think have applied myself to being a biologist. There are so many answers in nature. And sometimes we get an answer to a question 60 years after an observance. Yes that was before the information highway and internet and a phone in a camera or is that the other way around? Anyway.... Thank you Twyla Bauer. Heres why. When I was a child and free to roam the ranch, usually horseback, I saw something that fascinated me. In the bog alongside the road across from the old barn, its body half way extended up a cattail stem was an odd snake. I watched it for quite a long time. When I told my parents about it.....what I was sure Id watched......they just looked hard at me and then at each other with raised eyebrows. I have spent my life questioning if actually I had saw what Id observed?....was it an albino? or if my 10 year old mind had conjured something up. I believe ... There is the part of each of us which relies on validation by others to make our experiences real.(Probably why so many of us use Facebook.) Its a shame we cannot just simply believe ourselves, but few of us do. We need others to see what, to express validation and have conversation about experiences. I SAW A PINK SNAKE WITH A BLUNT HEAD AND ODD BODY.!!! YES I DID. I knowl now what I saw thanks to Twylas appreciation of snakes, and mine was pink. Really glad I looked at the information included by someone else in that post Twyla put on with her snapshot of the snake......because these rubber boa snakes can be pink when young with light or yellow bellies. They have blunt snouts and slick looking bodies. (small scales.) I DID SEE A PINK SNAKE AND IT WASNT ALBINO. THANKS TY.
