I have been asked to list the ten most important books that I have read. 1. The Bible (KJV) 2. Trumpets in the Morning by Dr. Harper Shannon 3. Preacher Talk by Dr. Hershel H. Hobbs 4. Why I Preach That the Bible Is Literally True by Dr.W.A. Criswell 5. Our God- breathed Book the Bible by Dr. John R. Rice 6.not a fan by Kyle Idleman 7. Why Revival Tarries by Leonard Ravenhill 8. Prayer- Asking and Receiving by John R. Rice 9.The Power of Positive Preaching by Dr. John Bisagno 10.Revivals in the Old Testament by Dr. C. E. Autrey and all the books written by Dr. Adrian Rogers. In my early days as a preacher-boy I was taken to Sword of the Lord conferences where I heard men like John R. Rice, Jack Hyles. Curtis Hutson , who were soul-winners and believed in Biblical inerrancy. Their attacks on the SBC soon caused me to decide whether or not I could become an Independent, Fundamental Baptist preacher and I realized that I needed to remain a Southern Baptist. I did appreciate their strong stance on soul-winning and inerrancy.
