I have been asked to make a facebook post regarding a situation that we have found ourselves in yesterday w/ the Donna Brubaker family. I have been asked to explain my decision to whether I will be continuing to help her and her family or not...so here goes! Several of the organizations and myself were made aware of an issue yesterday and Ive received 17 phone calls regarding this issue. I immediately verified this info and then called Donna to speak w/ her regarding this. After my call w/ her and praying about this last night here is my decision. I will continue to try to help her and her grand babies that she has custody of. Its not my place to judge her or anyone else. Its not my place to say whether someone is innocent or guilty. Donna has listened to me and did everything that I have asked her to do and went above and beyond to try to help others at the hotel. Donna has showed nothing but love for her two grand children since I have been involved w/ her. My stand right now is that we have 2 beautiful children that has a grandmother that has custody of them and they need our help. The GOD that I pray to tells us not to judge and thats my decision. I understand that some organizations will not be able to help now & thats fine I understand completely that you have rules to go by & I respect that & love u all!! The good thing about what I do is that I dont have a set of rules to go by except what is in the BIBLE and I think we all know what that says about helping someone and not judging. P.S. With all the families that we have helped through Social Services or on our own, we have had only one family to fall. I believe in 2nd Chances & Im very thankful that we as a COMMUNITY can give those!! I love ya all & please respect my decision to continue to help!
