I have been at this same spot (in traffic in my attempt to rush to close errands of the day) for the last 10 mins or so.. to my northwest, 11 Oclock (in SWAT tactical lingo), I have been observing this middle aged man holding a baby ... a beautiful baby... he is standing outside the super markets luggage section. I presume his wife has gone into the supermarket to pick one or two things before they go home. It seems the baby has fallen asleep... there is no seat or bench within the reach of baby and father. The loving dad seems tired of standing holding the sleeping angel. His wife on the other hand doesnt seem to be coming ... sometimes women take too long comparing this and that on the shelves of a supermarket. Fatigue is setting in quickly... having no other option, the gentleman decides to crouch.. still holding the baby.. He keeps looking at the baby seemingly not having enough of her. He wipes her sweating face from time to time in this simmering heat, his eyes glimmering in fatherly love. It then hits me that whereas some shortchanged women have taken to social media to vent their anger on their estranged exes, there are still many more caring men out there. I particularly admired this gentleman and I salute many more who have not abdicated their responsibility. It takes more than a man to be a dad. I pray to God to give me strength not to abandon my own blood when they finally come. #GoodEvening
