I have been blessed in my life to enjoy the company of some really great and humble people . One of those people that I will cherish is Marge Bong who married the Ace of Aces Richard Bong . Their whirlwind romance and short time together was cut short with the tragic death of Richard on Aug 6th 1945 . She was left alone to pick up the pieces of her life after being thrust into the national spotlight as the wife of Americas number one Ace . We spent time together at airshows and I miss her spirit and wit, she went on with her life and became the editor of Dog Fancy magazine but towards the end of her life she rekindled the flame of Dick to teach future generations of the sacrifice of the many good men who fought for the ideals of America . Gods speed Dick the piggyback angel now flies with you again .......
