I have been blessed with a life where I receive ongoing encouragement and support rather than being told I am not capable merely because of my gender. But I do realize that inequalities exist and that gender stereotypes are constantly affecting me in other direct and indirect ways. I hope for a day where men and women alike are comfortable with unleashing their souls and expressing who they truly are, rather than comparing themselves with the ideal or norm. I praise the sensitive man and the driven woman. I have no shame in my personality or characteristics. I am stubborn, determined, realistic, mentally and physically strong -and yet I am a woman. I am sensitive, loving, compassionate, impulsive -but I am not just a woman. These traits cannot explicitly determine a gender, humans are complex and we deserve to have every aspect of our soul appreciated.
