I have been busy stitching on Elizabeth Cox and the fourth photo shows the completed house and tree. Photos 1, 2 and 3 show the stages I went through to stitch the one facade and tree. I am afraid that I did not stick to the original as charted, my needle has a life of its own sometimes. The front facade was done with vertical rather than horizontal stem stitch and the red facade has alternating vertical and horizontal stem stitched blocks rather than all horizontal. It makes it my own. This sampler could be stitched all in cross stitch if preferred and would look just as beautiful. Photo 5 is the model on the Scarlet Letter website.
