I have been concerned for some time at people who post on facebook mixing their politics with the Christian faith. They seem to assume that whatever their political position is, God is on their side (policitally.) It makes me cringe to see them post hateful comments and put downs aimed at our elected officials, and in the next breath, "praise the Lord", as if He is in favor of their hateful ways. As a Christian Minister of the Word and Sacrament, I apologize to all of my agnostic, atheist and fellow Christians who must be totally turned off to the wonderful message of love and peace that my Lord and Savior offers to all, because of these posts. I just hope that you can see beyond the few who seem to be very confused about the Christian faith. Sincerely, Pastor Jude Miniken.
