I have been considering ending my feeding program, which has been providing FREE meals for over 5 years. To be honest, I have a whole lot going on and being offered through our non-profit and church. And truthfully, it seems like very few appreciate it. However, when I came in today, a young lady that came for breakfast looked up at me and said, Im hungry. Those two words convicted my heart and made me recall upon the countless youth that have nothing to eat at home and count on us. Though I am tired and would like to enjoy my summer sleeping in, I cant help but consider the many youth that are COUNTING on us. And then I thought of a youth whose grandmother pleaded with us to help her grandson and had to force him to come to the program. Yesterday, when she came to pick him up, she had to wait 30 minutes for him to come out, because he didnt want to leave. WOW! I will continue to commit to offering programs and services that make a difference. I do ask for YOUR help though.
