I have been contemplating of dusting off my engineering certificates and enter a one way ticket to Nigeria to help my fatherland but I have a second thought that keep holding me back. I will table it 1. My healthcare insurance: I have the best healthcare insurance provided for me by my union. Since rich Nigerians travel to India (and I live in USA) because they cannot afford our medical bills, I rescind my decision. 2. My Vacation and welfare package: Nigerian company can as well afford to give me this but there are stipends that made me to hold back. Money saved for my rainy days by my office can never be done anywhere in the world. 3. Retirement/Pension: My 96yrs old father in-law, a retired Imo state school principal have not received his pension since 2004. So if I reach that age, no government will take care of me in Nigeria. But in USA, I will be highly respected and treated with so much respect. Therefore I dont think that I will come home. Ho Ha!!!!!!
