I have been doing this ceremony for over twenty years, the Lakota - TopicsExpress

I have been doing this ceremony for over twenty years, the Lakota and the Blackfoot also have similar ceremonies related to Sunrise and Sunset.Truth is Universal, it seems, but getting up at Sunrise and Sunset is part of being on the red road and other roads of Heart. We cant just pick and choose, what it is we are doing, casting aside something that may take some effort and keeping the fun stuff. It is all a part of the whole. Putting yourself back into the bio- rhythm of Mother Earth is very important to our health as well as the Mother earths health. We have all become addicted to false time. This ceremony adjust that each day. I hope some of you will take the time to read and begin to make a practice, one person at a time. This ceremony does make a difference, I love you all Grandma Raven Imagine this.... try expanding on the concept of Sunrise and Sunset. An occurrence we take for granted every day... Light & Life. Let us consider that the earth is spinning at a rate of 25,000 miles an hour and that the sun’s energy that which we accept as heat and light strikes a portion of the earth’s atmosphere 24 hrs a day, every day of the year without interruption. Now add to this concept the fact that sunrise/sunset happens somewhere on the planet every second of everyday because the earth is spinning and is a rotating orb in space. Got it? This is a pretty big concept to put into motion in our minds, but please think on this... picture it for a bit. Because as we go on you will find yourself going back to it and expanding on it further. Now imagine a daily Sunrise/Sunset ceremonial practice that affects the atmosphere as well as the practitioner. How you ask? It’s a big world...its an incredible amount of square miles across the face of the earth. This ceremony involves the release of energy at the exact moment of sunrise/sunset. Remember, the sun’s energy is striking the earth’s atmosphere at this exact time of day. The result is a re balancing of the elements of our world which in turn directly affect us; the most intelligent and highly evolved species on the planet. .....................................................................................................................Balance - The universe is not based in chaos. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. These actions can be productive or destructive. It’s all the same in the world of physics. In the case of sunrise/sunset one side enters illumination while the other side exits. Some plants are dormant during the night and open at daybreak and the same with some animals and reptile. We are intertwined with the cycles of the planet. It is undeniably, unalterably so. So if the planet dies... we die. We pollute, we’re polluted. Now here’s where it all comes together... Agnihotra - The healing fire. The way you and I can individually make a difference in our world and the more people for the better. The practice of Agnihotra is very simple. It is comprised of a copper pot of specific dimensions, and in the pot dried cow dung is coated with clarified butter. These contents are then set on fire in the pot. A small mixture of clarified butter and unbroken brown rice are combined to make an offering at the exact moment of sunrise/sunset. As the moment arrives a specific prayer is spoken as the offering is dropped in the fire. This is done twice and the whole ceremony takes less than a minute followed by 15 min of silence. Remember the fact that sunrise/sunset is occurring constantly? Well, there are ten’s of thousands of Agnihotra practitioners across the globe all releasing energy as the light hits the atmosphere in their particular part of the world.. Have you a picture in mind yet? The earth is being bathed in this energy as it spreads through the earth’s atmosphere This energy heals the ozone layer as it reacts to the sun’s energy as well as seeding the lower atmosphere with life giving nutrients which make their way back to the surface That is the big picture, but there is more... On a personal level as you perform Agnihotra you will find that simply by being in close proximity to the fire all stress will be nullified. The atmosphere where you reside, that you breathe, that fuels your mind and body are subtly affected and balanced. The vibrational system in the body is made balanced... all the Chakra’s begin to spin in same direction. It is a top to bottom tune-up. Agnihotra is the trigger for all Ayervedic techniques; Agnihotra take’s whatever we do and practice to a higher level be it sports, music, family life or whatever because it vibrates at such a high level. Therefore with the practice of Agnihotra the mind and body is healed at the top or Crown Chakra which affects all energy centers below it. Now you are hooked. Now it is time learn more of the specifics of Agnihotra... Agnihotra Vedic sunrise / sunset ceremony practiced year round. This simple practice is the trigger that takes all Ayervedic practices to a higher level. Agnihotra affects the very atmosphere that you breathe, directly affecting the mind. The ceremony is simple and requires a modest investment and this only because the dimensions specified in the Vedas are specific. The time needed are mere moments as the movement of the earth allows only two minutes till the energy of sunset / sunrise are past. It is important to touch on the affect of the sun’s energy on the earth’s atmosphere. The earth is constantly moving, therefore sunrise / sunset are constantly happening across the face of the earth. There is also a very particular angle that the sun’s energy strikes the atmosphere coupled with earth’s movement that energy is constantly being released bathing the earth in this energy or: vibration. The longer you remain in contemplation after the ceremony the more benefits you receive. The ceremony uses Sanskrit mantras. Sanskrit, which is mother of all languages, was never a “spoken” language and was only used for prayer. Each word was engineered with specific vibrations to render the prayer spoken in its most powerful form. A copper pot is used; the dimensions of the pyramid of Giza. It is well known that pyramid power is of a very focused type. Using these dimensions also vibrationaly charges the copper pot. In the pot we put cow dung which has been coated with ghee or clarified butter which is then lit on fire. The dung, ghee, and fire all have vibrational content as do all things. As we speak the mantra into the fire pot with the contents ablaze coupled with the specific dimensions of the fire pot itself at the time of sunrise / sunset completes a powerful recipe of transformation. Following the speaking of the mantra you may remain by the fire pot till the fire goes out. At this time the contents will smoke. The smoke is beneficial to your health and may be inhaled and used as a smudge. Inhaling the smoke does not cause coughing, it is not like the smoke from a camp fire. The smoke is also a release of energy. Not only is Agnihotra good for mind, body spirit but also for the atmosphere itself. The smoke or energy rises 1 mile and spreads out in circumference of 8 miles, as it returns to earth it seeds the atmosphere with it’s nutrients (a nutritional rain). The ash from the fire is medicinal and is scientifically proven be a purifier of water, can be used as a salve and deterrent to pathogenic virus’. Agnihotra is an integral part of the Vedas; which is the science of all knowledge... the knowledgeable scientific proof of the validity of the Veda’s effect on the earth and all its inhabitants. This knowledge is of the world, the physical, heaven and that of the soul. The two work together proving out each other to we who quest. Agnihotra is at its essence a vibrational tool which directly affects our position on the ladder of life; it takes us and the things which we do to the next level. All it takes is the performance of Agnihotra coupled with your hearts intent. Agnihotra is not difficult. Its a sunrise/sunset fire ceremony performed in a copper pot with spoken mantra; the light and Sound of God. So simple in fact that it takes less than a minute to perform followed by 15 minutes of focused silence. Being in the presence of the fire pot affects the mind directly subtly altering and balancing the mind and body. This Ayurvedic practice eliminates negativity, relieves stress and improves the minds ability to function optimally in this hectic world. There are sacred mantra’s involved and as they are spoken in Sanskrit as that is the most beneficial and undiluted expression. They are; Om Tryambakam, Gayatri, Sunrise and Sunset. ---- this is something Robert and I have been doing for over twenty years, very powerful, love to you Grandma Raven
