I have been following the medical cannabis movement since the 90s, - TopicsExpress

I have been following the medical cannabis movement since the 90s, and the local movement since 2010. For much of 2013, I am reading increasing numbers of articles about the curative miracles of this plant from relieving pain, treating nausea, autism and epilepsy, curing cancer and stabilizing PTSD. The State of Colorado, in a bold and forward looking move, is looking at using tax dollars to fund the first medical efficacy testing of their kind. After collecting $13million in funds from their state program, the governor is dedicating $7million to go towards funding research, upon the legislature approving his budget. It is important to look at this new local and state economy of legalized medical cannabis dispensaries in Las Vegas in the spring of 2014 with a bit more thought put behind any objections. It is also important to be critical of the way our state and local governments have blockaded the wishes of the majority of voters in NV for over a decade since first approving medical cannabis. We have been served through the efforts of citizen organizations like First Friday with WECAN. The community would be served best if every dispensary were made to be established as a non-profit, or to serve a non profit. There are many fears about where the money will go, and where the product is coming from. That can all be solved, 100% within Nevada. Every farmer and gardener should be encouraged to hone their skills on these plants as the founders of America first suggested. dailycaller/2013/11/27/colorado-may-fund-research-into-medical-marijuana-another-first/
