I have been given 2 numbers, 11 and 12. We will see which one this one turns out to be. 1. I have lived in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and now in Prague in the Czech Republic. I will always be a Texan. 2. When I got on the plane to come to Prague the only thing I knew for sure is that I would be spending the first 4 weeks in school, hopefully passing the exam to become certified to teach English as a Second Language. (ESL) 3. I arrived here the day after my 55th birthday without a job, a place to live and did not know a single person in this country. 4. I now have a nice flat, wonderful friends and many fantastic students. 5. I have had many different jobs. I worked for Santa Fe Railroad in the late 70s, as a used car salesman in Louisana (I sold 25 cars my first month), managed the retail store in a Cracker Barrel Restaraunt, as a licensed stock broker and an EMT. Just to name a few. 6. When I worked as an EMT I drove over an hour to work because that community had a higher crime rate and made the job even more interesting. 7. I work as the administrative director and club bouncer for a comedy club called Plutos Footlong Players in Beaumont, Texas. 8. I really, really miss Tex Mex! It is my favorite food. 9. I spent a month in Vietnam with my oldest son and his wife when they adopted my granddaughter Hannah. 10. I am a counter. It is 125 steps from the corner to the door of my building. 132 steps when I am tired and 148 steps with the construction area taped off for work they are doing on the building next door. 11. I love snow!
