I have been given the number 10 so I need to say 10 things you may or may not know about me. Here goes... 01. I was born in a small village about 2 hours drive outside of Vientiane, Laos. 02. In a scene straight out of a movie my father met with a relative in the dead of night on the banks of the Mekong River in 1979, where his relative handed him a less-than-1-year-old baby with which he placed into a rubber tyre and swam across the river to Thailand, fleeing a repressive government and moving towards a new and better life for his family. The baby was me. 03. I danced with 40,000 ravers dressed in white in Amsterdam Arena Sensation White in 2004. 04. When I lost my job in 2009 I did whatever I could to make some money to survive. This included handing out newspapers in the subway at 6am every day, teaching salsa dance out of my living room, and participating in an appetite study at University of Toronto where I sat in a room and was fed pasta and then gave blood samples at various intervals (that was too funny!). 05. Ive jumped out of a plane as part of a tandem skydive at 14,000 feet in the Hunter Valley. The 60-second free-fall was INTENSE.
