I have been greatly encouraged by the posts we have been sharing recently using WhatsApp. It amuses me how something like this; something relatively simple can be used to spread the Good News of Jesus so easily, a vision being fulfilled. It is great to read the thoughts of likeminded individuals and it is the continued vision for us to use it as a means to equip and support each other through the good and the bad times. This got me thinking. How often do I ask for help? Not very often. It is not in the nature of us men to ask for help. We tend to keep things to ourselves and deal it in our own way. This is exactly the wrong attitude. As well, as helping our brothers in times of need, we should be humble enough to seek help. We should never be afraid to seek out those people who we feel can help us in our everyday situations. When we are humble and ask for help it lowers our guards. It allows Him to work in us more to help resolve the situation. It also allows us to form a deeper relationship with our brothers and most importantly Him. Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. (1 Peter 5:8, 9 NIV) We are all objects of Satan’s schemes. He tries to get the better of us when he feels threatened. We are all brothers alike. We are no different. Even Jesus was tested in the wilderness. Even He had to endure the temptations of the enemy. Think of any of the enemies’ attacks like this. It’s a positive because he is scared of what you can be in your walk with God. Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’ ” Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him. (Matthew 4:10, 11 NIV) We can try to do things on our own, in our own way, when things get difficult. But this can be extremely difficult and the enemy can always sneak back in. Lets reach out for one another. Men On Fire is all about the brotherhood, being there for one another, supporting each other, we should all be likeminded, be open with one another so smother a brother today in kindness and compassion. Lets cry out together, lets help each other, “Away from us, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only. For we are Men on Fire for God. Keep shining. MoF.
