I have been harassed by law enforcement far more times than I have EVER been helped. Just three months ago, I was given a speeding ticket for doing 38 in a 35. I politely told the officer that I would not accept the ticket, that clearly he was not correct. He then changed his claim to say that I was doing 38 in a school zone. (It was nearly noon) I told him the law is clear--15mph when flashing Obviously this was not that time of day. He boldly lied, handed me two tickets, and said, Wait here. He went to the side of my van--in clear earshot, said absolutely nothing, came back in less than 30 seconds and said, I sent another officer over-- he said the lights were on. I told him I would gladly see him in court and drove off. Needless to say he boldly lied to the judges face. The judge have him a scornful glare, and the charge was dropped. After I was dismissed from the courtroom, the officer actually followed me into the hallway and was aggressively asking me why I said all that BS and who did I think I was... I said absolutely nothing and walked out. I refuse to be bullied by a badge! I am a law abiding citizen, I pay my taxes, and take full responsibility if I break the law. No egomaniac is going to treat me any less than that.
