I have been having stomach issues for the last couple of weeks. Today I had some test done at HUP. Barium Swallow YUCK! I got the results of my test. This is what is happening. I heard back from the radiology team about the study today. You have evidence of candida esophagitis (thrush in the esophagus). This may explain some of the symptoms you are having. You need to start Nystatin swish and swallow after meals and 4 times daily for the next month. After that we can back off to twice daily treatment as prevention. I sent the script to the local pharmacy. Happy easter. Yo me this is better news then having gallbladder problems. :) Now to hope Nyatatin does its job and gives me relief.
