I have been in corporate america since I was 19. There was a certain sense of security that I felt having an office job with benefits. I was A young teenage mother, uneducated and from the south side of Chicago. the only way I can explain how 39 years later I am where I am, is to say BUT GOD. He placed the right people, circumstances, hardships and opportunities in my path. I am grateful for all of it. The past 18 months have allowed me to experience faith in a new way, but now that I look back,I know Gods plan and purpose for me were being nurtured all along. I belueve God has prepared me to leave the familiarity and Comfort I have found as a senior vp for an amazing company with coworkers who are family, to do his work and help others who struggle with life struggles and inequities. I am leaving corporate to focus full time on being a private practice therapist and coach. I will also continue to volunteer my time with the women of Odyssey III and Lee and I will work closely with survivors and caregivers to give back what so many gave to us! To do this, I will focus on my health because I cant help others without taking better care of myself. Please keep my family lifted as we enter this new and ordained chapter of our lives. #hope #believe #faith
