I have been (justifiably) ctiticised today for an earlier post, where I stated that the reason why the poorest tended to vote yes, was because they nothing left to lose. The criticism was that many OTHER demographic groups across Scotland ALSO voted yes in huge numbers. I would like to acknowledge this criticism, and say sorry for not mentioning the many other yessers. However, I think I made another omission That is that ALL yessers who voted for a better future, did so because they have both CONFIDENCE and FAITH in each other, in Scotlands local and parliamentary politicians, & more importantly, in the people who voted NO. Many NO voters did so because they had been terrorised by the UK state broadcaster and the media, for two miserable years. Many of those no voters were elderly and had never questioned the truth of news being printed and broadcast. Most believed the scare stories because they believed the BBC to be beyond reproach. We yessers knew that many of our own friends and families were too ftightened to vote yes. But now that has changed.
