I have been on a somewhat secretive journey of late to go as far - TopicsExpress

I have been on a somewhat secretive journey of late to go as far as I could go, then a little farther, then a little farther, then give it another month...then just a little farther with fitness. Only a little more to go on this trek. I have taken this road before, but this was different. I had an important, maybe most important goal and lesson of my life, to do it with a smile, to not feel sorry for myself or choices of discipline for a second, and to maintain focus on being there for others as much as I could throughout. I think I did pretty well. Always room for improvement, but I kept my whits about me which isn’t so easy to do. The cat is a bit out of the bag, so I am tellin friends and family that I have decided to compete in the NPC as I near my 35th Bday. 35 is peak time friends. I was able to get there 100% naturally as always. I have never hormone supplemented in any way (not that I am anti that or judgmental of it. I just dont do it.) I didnt even take tylenol during this prep. I had the goal to do it with pure food and effort as much as possible. I can tell you that 35 aint old. If you have some pain or injuries or inabilities to be active that you used to have, it isnt because you are old, its because you are sedentary or just got injured. Thats it. Take the old excuse and shelve that for a good 20 years. Even though I have kept this a secret, I still leaned on some people whether they knew it or not. My parents and family, My band family, The Swinging Lights Justin Carrell and Kate and Jeff Bishop...they keep me alive with creativity and endeavors in the lovelier things in life. I love bodybuilding, but the band comes first. It is where my soul is. The kind and supportive people at my job make this possible. David Borg and Rhiannon C Borg are my oasis, friends and therapists. Flip Johnson and Chris Foster worked Kcy McCullough out along with me on ocassion. Aaron and Nikki Racer cheerin me on and checkin in on me..... Some other special key and important people who have been there to push me on and warm my heart and give me extra energy and a reason to get back up every morning who know who they are. And anyone who checked in on me as I was overdoin it as I am want to do. Last but certainly not least...my fellow competitors and trainers. Beau Coplin and Alexis Hennekes Coplin for showing me the way, mentoring me and inspiring me. Jeff Later and Jenny Later...the wizards who dial me in, push me along, lead by example, know more than one way to skin a cat....and this time they put extra effort in beautifully, expertly and intelligently finding a safer way for me to go the distance after some pitfalls last time. I am so thankful for them. And Finally, my partner in crime! My Samwise Gamgee on this trip to Mordor, or maybe she was Frodo. I think we took turns carrying the ring. We have been on it step for step for 6 months....doing it side by side but from a distance. She has impressed me endlessly and I would not have been able to get here again without her. She is gonna KILL it on stage this Saturday! Clarissa Treseder Jones Tough as it gets, and a force to be reckoned with as she enters the world of competition. She has proven that she has the grit and gumption. So proud of her and cant wait to take the stage with her and wanna give a shout out to her husband and family that have been supportive of this journey for her. Anyway, as promised some shirtless photos at the tail end of this prep. Stage pics will be coming soon. And all who have worried about me because of how much this took out of me last time... thank you. You got me through some serious pain. I promise its gonna be safer this round. Thank you for helping pick me back up. i.imgur/Np1LCEU.jpg
