I have been put in so many positions over my life time but never one like I experienced last night! While sitting in my daughters car waiting on her after rehearsal a young man Id say in his early twenties runs up to the house next to where I was and begin beating on the door YELLING HELP HELP! My youngest daughter was on her way out of the door from rehearsal, she sees him running her way bleeding really really bad and closes the door. He then runs to the car Im sitting in (Meanwhile Im to nervous to find my cell phone) and ask me to please call 911 for him. I said ok ok ok but Im still not able to find my cell phone because Im scared somebody has shot him and their gonna shoot me. This young man was covered in blood from head to toe and he just took off running down the street hurt, bleeding, and in panic overdrive!!! I finally find my phone call 911 and let the police know what had just happened. But for some reason I had to find that child to make sure he was ok because I have boys that age I would want someone to help them and make sure there ok!!! I drove in the direction he ran to and spotted him with the police so I pulled over and got out of the car, now mind you I didnt know this young man at all but my face was a face he was happy to see. I said to him Im so glad your ok you really startled me son but I had to make sure you were gonna be alright!! He was still yelling in pain but he said yes mam thank you so much they robbed me and cut me up!! Then he asked if I could make the paramedics hurry up and I begin to talk to them for him! The look on his face is one I would never forget because he calmed down and looked relieved that I was there!! ITS REALLY SOMETHING ABOUT A MOTHERS LOVE BECAUSE IT STRETCHES BEYOND THE LOVE FOR YOUR OWN CHILDREN AND EXTENDS TO THOSE WHOM YOU REALLY DONT EVEN KNOW!!!! I was afraid but the fact that I was able to get this baby some help and make him calm down and receive help just makes me feel like nothing I do on this earth is in vein!!! Thank you Lord for covering that young man and allowing me to be apart of his life and show him love for just that short amount of time!!!
