I have been putting a lot of emphasis on educating our students to attack specific targets. Ed Parker mentioned that we use any form of hitting utilizing speed, power, and accuracy. That being said it is also important to be aware that certain targets give better results. I have been addressing liver shots and various ways of attacking that area. Years ago we had a father and son come into our school from Chicago. They were both great groin kickers. They had an unbelievable ability to kick people in the groin. As an entry technique or a counter technique they could attack the groin. Pete and Steve Neal were great fighters and fought on many of our championship teams. Their reputations grew and Black Belt magazine did an article on them both. The last sentence of the article mentions that the wind is not the only thing that kicks up in Chicago.
