I have been really slacking on my posts lately, especially Throwback Thursday. Im not ignoring this page, or our fans, Im just crazy busy attempting to get the adoption center open and put on the Furball at the exact same time. In the past, I was never good at remembering to ask for help when its needed, so now I am! Here are some things that we need help with, if anyone is able: ADOPTION CENTER: -pulling up carpet in the center and laying peel/stick tile. -12 black and 12 white peel stick tile to make checkerboard pattern. Half the store is already done this way, just continuing it to the back. -printing very large pictures of our cats (3-4 feet tall) and adoptions -painting a series of canvases that spell out ADOPT! Would love an artist for this! -hanging pictures on a very very tall ladder -cutting wood into platforms and walkways for our walls & mounting it FURBALL: -looking for baskets of cheer donations from local liquor stores, wine reps, etc. -gift cards/certificates from restaurants for one specific raffle prize -wicker/metal/plastic baskets to assemble large raffle prizes in -cellophane (save your leftover easter wrap!) -any gift card or certificate -folks who would like to volunteer at the event -folks who would like to help assemble raffle baskets, list whats in them, print out contents list/value -sponsorships by companies in return for direct marketing to over 400 attendees -help soliciting for donations (we have a contact list and letter, just need help with it.) Theres probably more, but my brain always goes to mush this time of year. We already have lots of donations, but as you know the Furball is a huge event and we always go over the top!
