I have been revisiting a lot of the music I grew up - TopicsExpress

I have been revisiting a lot of the music I grew up with--particularly bands and performers I have seen in concert. While I love a wide and diverse variety of music, Im a rock n roller at heart. For many years I was really into Southern Rock--the Allman Brothers Band (my favorite band for many years), the Outlaws, the Marshall Tucker Band, Charlie Daniels, and Lynyrd Skynrd--all bands I have seen live. The Outlaws were an outstanding live band, as all southern acts were. There was always such a strong camaraderie among the players and it was very common for some incredible musician to make a guest appearance--Johnny Winters with the Allman Brothers, Dicky Betts with Charlie Daniels, etc.. I saw the Outlaws, dubbed Floridas Guitar Army for their three smoking guitarists, live with Marshall Tucker, and a band out of Georgia called Grinderswitch. Several members of Marshall Tucker joined the Outlaws for an encore. Five guitars interweaving their magic in away that very few can. Green Grass and High Tides is the Outlaws at their absolute, high-energy best!! Lets kick up a little dust!! Enjoy!!
