I have been running for about 14 months now. Completed a half marathon Nov 2. So I was like okay...do another 1/2 or just chill or a few 10ks. NOPE....doing a full marathon in May 2015! Training started Monday. So incorporate a speed night! Ive done that the last two Tuesdays, and thought my gosh Im back at square 1. I thought I suck at this! Then I went out for 4 miles tonight by myself. Cranked up the tunes....and 33:38 I did 4 miles. Thats an overall average pace of 8:22 for 4 miles....when I started I was just trying to get to a 10 minute mile. Speed night is where its at! And Ive got my ego back, so everything is back to normal now! In all seriousness, incorporate a speed night once a week, it will help with overall running!
