I have been seeing a lot of “Facebook is changing their rules and will steal your stuff if you don’t copy and paste this ‘legal notice’” posts. Don’t waste your time, it doesn’t mean anything at all. Reasons this post is: 1.) Read Facebook Terms of Service, Section 2: “You own all of the content and information you post on Facebook, and you can control how it is shared through your privacy and application settings. In addition: (1.)For content that is covered by intellectual property rights, like photos and videos (IP content), you specifically give us the following permission, subject to our privacy and application settings: you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any IP content that you post on or in connection with Facebook (IP License). This IP License ends when you delete your IP content or your account unless your content has been shared with others, and they have not deleted it. 2.) The Rome Statute established four core international crimes: genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and the crime of aggression. Under the Rome Statute, the ICC can only investigate and prosecute the four core international crimes in situations where states are "unable" or "unwilling" to do so themselves. 3.) By citing UCC 1-308 you are saying: “I reserve my right not to be compelled to perform under any contract or commercial agreement that I did not enter knowingly, voluntarily and intentionally. I do not accept the liability of the compelled benefit of any unrevealed contract or commercial agreement.” However, by using Facebook to begin with you have knowingly and intentionally accepted their terms of service. According to Facebook Terms of Service, Section 14 Part 3: "Your continued use of Facebook following changes to our terms constitutes your acceptance of our amended terms."
