I have been seeing this homeless man on my walk home and introduced myself tonite and asked if he wanted a corn muffin. He accepted. I explained it came with my food but i dont eat diary but can bring food next time. I asked him what he likes to eat. We discussed some options. I said: Do you know what you are eating tonite? He said he didnt but said a woman stops by once a month and maybe hed see her. He also recalled how he really liked when some people in a car brought him wonton soup. He was telling me it was getting colder. I asked about his blanket and he said it was wet. I said I could wash it but he said he would have to find it. He said he can use garbage bags to stay warm but he needs to find those too. (He has many carts parked next to him).-- I went and got his some falafel. I came back and chatted more about how i could do laundry if he put it together in a bag and he liked that idea. Right then 4 ppl walked over and one said Hi Steven. I said Wow Steven, you are popular and the people explained they do homeless outreach and set some ppl up in dorm rooms. Same guy organized the outreach and it grew to 6k volunteers. The 3 with him today were visiting from Ohio. Good ppl!
