I have been selected for the ALS ice water challenge today by Sheila DeGuzman Carolino. Ive been seeing so many people over the past couple weeks doing this as well....I had never heard of this condition before, so took the task today to do research.. to read and watch videos and blogs of families whom are faced with this in their lives. I am speechless as to the strength, courage, and hope these families have. My heart breaks for the pain they must endure daily, but has also been extremely inspired by them. Having a better awareness of ALS and seeing some of the lives that are affected by this, has moved my heart with compassion and empathy. I will CERTAINLY take this VERY small(in comparison to these amazing warriors daily fights) challenge to experience a glimpse of their symptoms and to donate to funding for their needs.
