I have been shunned from Mr John Bel Edwards fb page for a critique of the caption with this picture. Heres the best part, HE IS MY STATE REPRESENTATIVE. Guess he didnt approve of my comment... Only problem with the good samaritan parable is the samaritan was an individual who came to the aid of a stranger of his own free will. Government is forcing people by threat of penalty under law to pay for someone elses health insurance which we are finding out doesnt provide much because of restrictions on service to be provided. The other thing is government is not an individual Mr Edwards and the national government is especially not an individual nor is it God. Thirdly, if the good samaritan parable is to be played out as Jesus tried to convey, the notion of medical care given to your neighbor would translate into the local doctor caring for people in their own community surroundings who need charity and that small community surrounding coming together to give aid. Your vision sir, and the vision of your party (I suppose), prevents the goodwill of people towards their neighbors who need medical care or service. Sorry to come down on you so hard but you error trying to twist Gods message, and replace the Christian charity of the individual into the mandated law of government. Youre not Putting Louisana First Mr Edwards, you are putting Louisiana under bondage of government. You want to Put Louisiana First? Remove those chains and let people freely practice charity and Christ like humanity towards their neighbors. Do the Christian thing and not the politician thing.
