I have been so saddened by Herd fans today. It seems like we are never satisfied! We wanted a great season-- we got it. We wanted to host the conference championship-- we got it. We wanted a win in the conference championship game-- we got it. We wanted a bowl game-- you know what Im going to say next-- We. Got. It. But now fans are angry because the bowl isnt good enough... Friends: We got a bowl game that isnt in another country. We got a bowl game that isnt on Christmas Eve (good luck to all fans with young children on that one). We got a bowl game against another conference champion. We got a bowl game in an area with lots of flights and travel options. We got a bowl game in a state in which we LOVE to recruit...now all those kids can come and see what the hype is all about IN PERSON. We got a bowl game in a state where almost 30 team members lived before coming to MU... their families, friends, and former coaches now have an opportunity to see them play! Was the CFP committee a sham this year? Probably yes. But we have a team to support! Lets not forget the pride we felt just 28 hours ago! Our team needs positivity and support- not a bunch of fans who complain about every single aspect of the program, the uniforms, the opponents, the schedule, the bowl game matchups, etc.... Lets cheer them to ANOTHER victory and be glad to be where we are. Go Herd.
