I have been so touched by all the wonderful messages of hope and support through all the many electronic methods that surround us including the telephone, email, skype and facebook from England and the world. Some of you may never appreciate how much a single word or thought or action has boosted me. I received a kind message from someone who didn’t know me. Many of my friends are confirmed atheists, a few lily livered agnostics and the rest religious people of all denominations. Something happened this morning when I went downstairs to make a coffee. I have a grin on my face. I have laughed since mum died, but this is my first grin. It doesn’t matter what it was. My atheists will say ‘a simple coincidence’, my agnostics will say ‘might be something, might be nothing’ and my religious friends will simply smile… I of course have done all three! I don’t mind what you are, I still love you all. The human spirit of good people will defeat the evil in the world.
