I have been studying again..... This time on baptism, the Great Commission. I have read the Great Commission and realize it has a requirement for an action. We are to come into faith be baptized and then GO Forth teaching others to observe His commands and baptizing others. Matthew 28:18 I was reading in 1John 2:3 There is a test of knowing HIM! Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, I know HIM, and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. BUT whoever keeps His word, truly the LOVE of GOD is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. Yep, there it is in black and white. All these years I have been taught grace that says you cant keep the law and dont have to. No, I dont have to do anything. God gives me the freedom to choose. But it please my God to show the world His spirit fills me and I can keep His commands because His LOVE is being perfected in and through me by HIM and HIM alone! To God be the Glory for His only begotten Son that paid the price and sent the spirit to teach me and fill me? You can have it TOO!
