I have been studying these shot charts and it appears to me by the shot count in an ounce of shot a lead #6 is a tad heavier than a TSS #8 so how about someone weight with a grain scale and setting me straight. the way I figured it you would get about 50 more #8 TSS in an ounce than #6lead . So neither has the kinetic energy to be talking about shooting over .50 yards. unless you increase the shot siz or the velocity I know a lead # 6 at1200 fps is supposed to have 1.39 ft lbs of energy at 50 yards , bare minimum is 1ft lb. so how is a#8 or #9 TSS any more lethal than a lead #6 given the same velocity. the #6 is heavier per pellet than either and none of them should be shot at anything bigger than a crow past 50yards. want to stretch the barrel #4 lead or maybe #6 TSS . So straighten me out but with facts and figures not tall tales .
