White, #2 Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak (this was Gabrielle Amelia Boullion favorite when she was little, she made me read it almost every night) #3 The Blue Camellia by Frances Parkinson Keyes(it was set in Louisiana). #4 The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. #5 The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran. #6 The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck. #7 The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald mainly because of the memories of reading under a tree in Natchitoches with Rodney Allen as my teacher. #8 A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole, a MUST read for anyone who loves New Orleans. #9 The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. #10 The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson. There are so many more books but these are ones that have shaped the way I think.
