I have been talking to some of my friends about the upcoming parliament election. Most of my friends has very good impression in mind about BJP. They all are thinking BJP is a clean corruption free national party when compared to congress. Is it real ? Is it true ? I did some googling and following are are few scams from so called corruption free BJP which we are accidentally forgetting bcoz of the Rahul Gandis funny speeches and Modis photoshop skills. BJPs most senior leader and runner up PM candidate L K Advani, who was a deputy PM once , was charged in the Rs 810-crore Hawala bribery scandal in 1996 where he allegedly received payments through the Jain brothers. Advani had to resign as Lok Sabha MP. In March 2001, BJP’s first Dalit chief and president of a national party in power, Bangaru Laxman, was caught on camera accepting bribes from arms dealers for facilitating a fictitious defence deal case. He was subsequently convicted by a special CBI court and was sentenced to four years in prison. In July 2011, B S Yeddyurappa, the then BJP CM of Karnataka, was asked to resign after an anti-corruption panel named him as a key suspect in an illegal mining scandal that cost the exchequer more than $3bn from 2006-2010. BJP national president Nitin Gadkari, for whom the BJP amended its party constitution to give him another term as party national president, was recently exposed by The Times of India that revealed that his firm – Purti Power and Sugar Ltd was funded by dubious sources; and that his driver was the director of 5 such companies! he said in public his driver is the CEO of those billions rupee dummy companees !! These are only few which had national attention, there are many more. Pls google BJP Defence minister george fernandez, Barak missile scandal, cargil coffin scandal etc Now let’s come to BJPcandidates in 2014 election This is the statistics. 35 per cent of the BJPs candidates face criminal charges, of them 17 percent are serious charges(kidnapping, criminal intimidation and extortion). Meanwhile, 27 per cent of Congress candidates face criminal charges, with 10 per cent facing serious charges. Five out of seven BJP candidates who are in fray in the Lok Sabha elections from the national capital have criminal cases against them with four of them even facing serious charges. Let us leave normal charges. But what about those 17% candidates with serious charges ? If you take the number of criminal candidates and corruption scams by BJP as a party when compared with congress, (I am talking about national party, not UPA and NDA alliances). Congress is far better than BJP. You all see the irony now ? #voteforaap
