I have been talking with Spotlighters Theatre about teaching a theatrical makeup class in the very near future! Who out there would be interested in participating in a hands-on workshop? We will explore theatrical basics like straight makeup for the stage, highlight and shadowing, middle and old age, and move on to more advanced techniques such as fantasy makeups, drag and beauty, clowns, animals, blood, moulage injury and wound special fx, and more! No prior experience necessary! All folks are welcome, whether youre an actor looking to learn the basics, a burlesque performer who wants to add some new flair, or an aspiring special fx artist who just cant get enough blood. Even if youre NOT in the performing arts, but interested in the applications of makeup and special fx, please join us! If you would be interested in taking such a course, please comment or message me and let me know! I have to garner some attention and gauge the level of interest before we can move forward and figure out pricing and all those fun logistical things!
