I have been telling the students I meet in colleges and universities as well as job seekers the importance of their resume. Its a shame that some of our students willing to Google their favorite song but not searching for a good resume template or on how to write a professional resume. I have receive one liner cover letters, colorful resume with fonts that sparkles, resume with spelling mistakes, grammar mistakes, wrong email ID, wrong phone number, link to their social media that have inappropriate pictures, political party choices/ membership number and so on. Those are the basics. Then I see resumes that says they currently working somewhere but ready to start their job in my company immediately... so you saying you will leave your current employer with 1/2 days notice? Give the reason for leaving as -current employer is an asshole. Wow, that definitely gonna get you a job. I can go on and on about this. But hey, take a moment and do a proper resume that might land you in your dream job.
