I have been thinking a lot about “hope” lately. I woke up - TopicsExpress

I have been thinking a lot about “hope” lately. I woke up this morning and felt a little hopeless. Feeling sorry for myself, wishing Lee was here, wondering what is to become of my life without him. What is a girl to do? Google Scriptures on "hope" of course!!! One of the very first verses that popped up was Lee’s life verse, Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. As I read these many Scriptures about hope I remembered several years ago Lee and I were having lunch with a sweet family in Arizona and we were talking about hope. The youngest of their three girls had been very quiet the entire meal, all of a sudden she piped up and said “if there’s HOPE, there’s HOPE! That statement from a young girl really stuck with Lee and I, so anytime we were going through a trial we would look at one another and say “Babe, if there’s hope, there’s hope”! Right now for me, hope is the candle shining in the darkest night, however, this is when God’s hope shines the brightest. If you are traipsing through fields of butterflies and wild flowers, basking in the sun, be thankful, because God is granting you a reprieve….use this time to fill up your “hope tank”. Pray, read His Words of hope and encouragement, get snuggled up close to Jesus, so that when you are being refined with fire, you will not only endure, but, emerge a vessel to be used for His Glory. God’s grace is sufficient, His Hope is our ONLY hope. So, be encouraged today and remember, “If there’s hope, there’s hope!!! Love, Meredith
