I have been to a lot of protests in the US, mostly in #Oakland, CA. I have seen many a police line at these protests where the cops are in riot gear such as the ones in this video. On a rare occasion, I have seen a crowd of people completely surround/overcome the cops in riot gear, however much more often, I have seen the reverse, I have seen crowds of cops completely surround/overcome the people protesting. On the rare occasion when I have seen protesters surround/overcome the cops, no one got hurt, except perhaps the cops pride. On the much more frequent occasion when Ive seen the cops surround/overcome the people, in this instance, if ONE person throws a water bottle (never mind a rock!) while the rest of us are being peaceful, the cops use that ONE thrown water bottle as an excuse to unload massive amounts of tear gas/flash bang grenades/rubber bullets on ALL the protesters. I guess I am taking my time to write all this because in a way, this video confuses me, its not what i am used to.....
