I have been trying to be patient with my Narrative clip but I am - TopicsExpress

I have been trying to be patient with my Narrative clip but I am close to my limit at this point. The product was originally called Memoto and the premise was that it would augment your memory. Well, frankly, I have to say this. Thousands and thousands of photographs of the floor and ceiling are not helping my memory one bit. Add to that the complete lack of geolocation data and I gotta wonder why am I still wearing this useless piece of plastic all day every day? The camera actually takes reasonable pictures, that is if you mount it on a tripod. However if you simply wear it, as designed, 99% of the photographs are of either the floor or the ceiling. They need to be precisely framed which is, obviously, impractical. They would have been better served using a distorted fish-eye lens which, while it would have produced crappy quality pictures, at least would have had more information than what we get with this narrow flat projection. I just came back from a week long vacation capturing thousands of images, all of them useless. I would even be willing to put up with the narrow camera angle *IF* the device captured GPS data and could show me every location I went on a map, but it cant even do that either. We can only hope that it is even recording GPS data because I have *never* seen a single geolocation data point recorded yet. This rant is brought to you by someone who was an early supporter of the kickstarter and has been diligently using the device for over a month. You have to wonder, as we patiently capture and upload our tens of thousands of picture of the floor and ceiling, if this company is even going to exist in a year? I think our long-term memory storage is as much in question as this product. A lot of people around here have been overly polite and tiptoeing around this issue. I think the company needs to acknowledge these problems and deliver a plan and believable timeline for fixing them. The sad thing is that I still want a life logging device and cloud service. I just want one that works.
