I have been trying to come up with an appropriate post to thank all of the people who helped to make Big Nicks Ride for the Fallen so amazing. I think of all the work that went into an event that lasted only a few hours for most. More than anything I want to thank the silent volunteers. The people who saw a need or a job and simply stepped forward and lifted, pounded, lugged, directed, placed, tied, sweat, drove, rode, ran around and gave support with their hands, shoulders and hearts without complaining or asking for thanks or recognition. This event does not happen over night (unless you were working overnight to put things in place!). It takes months of planning, permitting, drawing, designing, ordering and financing. Its an event bigger than any individual and I am humbled to be part of it. Finally, I want to thank our heroes~ those who we have lost and those who continue to fight every day.
