I have been trying to write about my beloved cousin (who is more of a brother to me) but my mind becomes numb and it refuses to accept that I won’t be able to see kashi anymore. After all this time I have managed to muster up my strength to share my feelings about him. What to say about kashi...he was a gem of a person… a humble, down-to-earth individual with never say die attitude…you don’t come across people of his caliber and stature that often...I am fortunate and privileged enough to be his cousin. From the time we played hide and seek together to the time spent in the boarding school (Abbottabad public school), from every mischief to the every achievement and from every Eid and wedding celebrated together I have myriad and uncountable memories with kashi. If I begin to write about every moment spent together I can publish a volume but I won’t delve in or walk down the memory lane (I would definitely in future when I am in more stable mental state). Right now I just want kashi to know that I AM SO DAMN PROUD OF HIM. Kashi I want you to know that because of you I can hold my head high and say that we (our family) have done something for the nation. Before your shahadat I found my life to be purposeless and directionless and now after your martyrdom I have found a direction and I have got a purpose…I vow to serve my nation relentlessly and with determination..i won’t hesitate even if I have to put my life on the line..i just want to thank you from waking me up from my deep slumber..Thank you for quenching my thirst…You were and you will always be in my heart buddy… Courtesy :Arsalan khan.
