I have been using the nexus 7 for the past few months. There are several good things about this device. 1) Its a great media player. Videos looking amazing on the 7 1920x1200 320ppi screen. 2) Great form factor. Fits in my jacket pocket and form factor is great to watch videos on. 3) Starts at $229 - so cheap that it makes sense to keep one around for when your iPad runs out of juice 4) Good apps: Opera browser, Facebook, Spotify, NYtimes 5) Unlike iOS has an easily accessible file system - hook up to laptop and drag and drop any file anywhere in any folder or do the same using WiFi. 6) Super light.
