I have been working on The Dress. The wedding is in less then 2 weeks..so I have much to do yet. Luckily.....I had already several things to put together already. The young lady saw what I had and WANTED it..lol...lucky me! She is to come in for a fitting today and hopefully she will be happy with what I have done. 90% of the dress will be hand stitched..cause that is all I know how to do with this of KIND of thing... I just make it work..as Tim Gunn would say. Lots of tatters and strips and old lace. All in different shades of old whites. She said it didnt have to be all white so today I will find out out if she meant other colors tucked in here and there or not. I happen to have an old handkerchief with the letter of her last name on it and I thought it would be something special for her parents to be part of it as well. After the wedding I will show photos..as I think she needs to see the dress in all its glory before you all...;) Her mom is going to have Prairie Child Design listed as part of everything in something for the guests and hopefully I will get copies of the wedding photos...professional photos....;)
