I have been working on a few athletes lately. These athletes are younger (teenagers) and they have the potential to play university level sports and higher. They all have one big limiting factor, if they do not correct this, they will not make it anywhere. None of them make the time to stretch properly. When you stretch properly your muscle function freely and in the way they are meant to. When they are tight and full of adhesions they are cumbersome and not efficient. Imagine a formula one race car trying to hit top speed, but it is full of mud, with bumpers hanging off and the engine running low on coolant and low grade fuel. Not the car I would want be racing in. Your body is no different. Energy through diet, hydration through water intake, muscle efficiency through stretching Take the time to stretch or your body will make the time for repair from injury.
