I have been working on a townie/tour road bike and have finally started to get it just how I want it. But after todays afternoon rain ride around town I have came up with a list of things to add to my bike. >Fenders ++ >Bell >Better front light >peddles with clip in and flats. >grip shifters - using a flat bar I am running a shimano 600 sis rear derailleur and want to use shimano grip shifters, my question is are the shift space the same for a mountain and road rear? I am running a bontrager 7 speed wheelset and 3 rings in the front. I have a XTR front crank set to install with granny gear but need to work out the BB length. I have no problem replacing the rear derailleur, just wanna get what I need.
